The over and above challenge

Bring your school community together in support of children and young people across Wales.

Our new school activity, the Over and Above Challenge is a week in which pupils do one thing each day that goes over and above for someone else. That might be a small act of kindness for a classmate, something helpful at home for a family member, a class project that supports the school, or a whole school effort for the local community. Going ‘over and above’ for the children of Wales is core to our mission at the Noah’s Ark Charity and we’d love it if your school could join us in that.

The fundraising side is nice and simple. Each child is asked to raise £5 in sponsorship, a pound for each day of the challenge. Every penny raised will help us fund equipment, care and family support services that go over and above what the NHS can provide alone. 

At the end of your fundraising week, your school community could celebrate by wearing their favourite colour of the rainbow. We’ll provide ‘Over and Above Challenge certificate templates for the children and, should you want to, a member of the charity team could come along to your assembly to thank you all in person.
