Let's make life better for children in hospital

I'm raising money for a cause close to my heart and would love your support. The goal of the Noah’s Ark Children's Hospital Charity is to create brighter todays and better tomorrows for the 90,000 children cared for at our nation's children's hospital each year.

The charity ensures that treatment and outcomes can continue to improve by funding new and innovative medical equipment and facilities. It supports children and families in the here and now through its emotional support service and the much loved play specialist team and it invests in the future by providing technology that helps train the bright clinicians of tomorrow. It also strives to make the hospital a less frightening and more familiar place for children by sprinkling a little fun and happiness into hospital days. As a charity that relies entirely on donations and gifts in Wills – this is all only made possible thanks to people like you and me.

For almost three years, our little boy Dominic has been fighting a battle no child should ever have to face.

Dominic was diagnosed with an Optic Pathway Glioma (BRAF fusion) — a rare brain tumour affecting the optic nerve as well as hydrocephalus, a condition caused by a build-up of fluid on the brain.

At just three years old, he has endured more than most people will in a lifetime. Brain surgeries, biopsies, chemotherapy, shunt revisions, blood transfusions, countless scans, hospital stays, ambulance rides, infections, months of recovery, and three devastating tumour relapses.

Every time we thought we had finally turned a corner, his tumour found a way to keep fighting. And every time Noahs ark was behind us so we wanted to give a little bit back!
