Let's make life better for children in hospital

Anwen turns 2 on 27th May, which will mean the dash is a month after her birthday. Well in that time, 2 years ago, Anwen was a patient at Noah's Ark Children's Hospital. After suffering a brain bleed during or shortly after birth, Anwen developed Hydrocephalus. She had 2 brain surgeries before she was 6 weeks old, and now lives with a VP shunt that drains fluid from her brain constantly. 

It was a frightening time for our family, and we had no idea what that would mean for Anwen and her future. Thankfully, during our time at Noah's Ark we had no doubt Anwen was in safe hands, with her Neurosurgical team, the paediatric team and the fantastic nursing team on Owl Ward and PICU.

This will be our second time taking part in the Superhero dash, and we intend for there to be many more!
