As I know that our page has been shared out to many people I thought I would just give a little information about Bronwen and the reasons why we have chosen to participate in the Superhero Dash.
Our beautiful daughter Bronwen (Aged 5) was diagnosed with ITP approx. 18 months ago. Normally this condition resolves itself quickly in children, but unfortunately this isn't the case for her. It seems that she may have to live with it for the rest of her life.
Not only does this mean she has to undergo countless tests, miss days (sometimes weeks) of school to avoid serious injury, she is unable to do many of the things other children can do - no climbing, no scooters or bikes, no combat sports, gymnastics, rough and tumble with her brother etc.  but she bears it all with courage and an amazing smile.
She's been under the care of the wonderful team at Noah's Ark Children's hospital who have become a second family to her. We've decided as a family to join them in raising money for the hospital by taking part in their Superhero Fun Run on Sunday 22nd June 2025.
It would be amazing if anyone felt able to sponsor our little team🩷🩷

Super hospital days!

Last Friday during our hospital day, some of our favourite superheros came to surprise us ahead of the 'Superhero Dash!'

Let's make life better for children in hospital

We're raising money for a cause close to my heart and would love your support. The goal of the Noah’s Ark Children's Hospital Charity is to create brighter todays and better tomorrows for the 73,000 children cared for at our nation's children's hospital each year. The charity ensures that treatment and outcomes for children can continue to improve by funding new and innovative medical equipment and facilities. It supports children and families in the here and now through its emotional support service and the much loved play specialist team and it invests in the future by providing technology that helps train the bright clinicians of tomorrow. Noah's Ark also strives to make the hospital a less frightening and more familiar place for children by sprinkling a little fun and happiness into hospital days. As a charity that relies entirely on donations and gifts in Wills – this is all only made possible with all our help.

My great granddaughter Bronwen (now 5) was diagnosed with ITP just over a year ago. She has had to give up so many activities that other children take for granted but has remained brave and cheerful throughout. Despite many visits to hospital, many, many tests and days of missed school she remains a cheerful and happy child, a joy to be with and an example to others. I am so very very proud of her and just wish I could see her more often.
